The Motorcycle Stand in this listing is a good entry to mid-level stand in our opinion. If we did not feel it was a quality product, you wouldn't find it on the site. We want you to be happy with all the stuff you purchase from us, and we put a lot of effort into our product reviews to help you choose the best item for your needs. Not Universal

Posted by GaHooligan on 30th Sep 2020

Does not work on a 2016 Aprilia Tuono Factory. Unless you like spending 15min disassembling and reassembling easch time to lift and lower just to get the pin inserted (and yes that is with using the correct pin). Nice stand, good price, a bit more wobbly than others, NOT univerdal. Ended up using a similar stand that works perfect and easily as it should.

    Budget Stand

Posted by Rob on 27th Feb 2020

I would have given this a 5 star rating but one of the threaded areas for the allen bolts was stripped on receiving the product. it will snug slightly but if it is tightened it spins out. I put thread locker on it so it will hold but it is disappointing. STG was quick with shipping and they would have no way of knowing this issue without assembling the stand prior to shipping so no fault on their part. As far as function, this is a stable and great value stand I do recommend it if you are on a tight budget. otherwise I would step up to a better grade stand.

Worked perfect with my 04 Yamaha R1.

Posted by Luis on 9th Jul 2019

No instructions, although assembly is pretty straight forward. Stand worked really well with my 04 Yamaha R1 without the front fender and used the 17mm pin which fit perfectly. Gave four stars due to having to force tubes in place in order to line up holes to insert pins and the tubes tend to seize when putting sections together. Also because not sure if there would be fitment issues with the front fender installed.

    Typical Vortex Quality

Posted by Jonathan Wynn on 28th Mar 2019

I just put the stand together, matches my vortex rear stand, just the typical bars not lining up straight with the mounting pounts, and the secondary bar that holds the pin being bent off center, or the bar that threads the bolts just wasnt drilled straight and made everything off center, i dont doubt that the stand will hold the bike up, its only between 1-2 inches off center at the end, i shall find out in a few days when i go to use it

    Vortex Head Lift limitations

Posted by Encarnacion Becerra on 22nd Aug 2016

First, know that I have an 2014 FZ-09. Unknown to me at the time, the head lift access point is higher than most other bikes, apparently. In short, the Vortex lift is a quality piece, if it works on your bike. I followed the video assembly instructions by Van to a tee. The process was straight forward and assembly went quick. I was super excited to have the ability lift the entire bike, front and back with rear stand. Only problem is, as mentioned above, is that the FZ-09 has a higher then normal pin access hole. My next issue was the pin sizes, they only go up to 18mm while the FZ needs at least a 19mm pin. So when I aligned the pin to lift the bike, the pin felt lose when inserted. And when I got into position and pulled down on the lift bar, the bike didn't lift at full extension by the riser. Long story short, this is not the head lift you are looking for if you own an FZ-09. I went and ordered a Woodcraft stand; it has an adjustable riser arm. Go figure that not all head lift access points are not created equal...

    Solid Budget Head Stand

Posted by Rob on 6th Jul 2015

This stand comes in four pieces, with two packs of hardware. Assembly is very easy, which is lucky because there are no assembly instructions. There were some issues that I found with fit and finish. For instance, the 15mm pin was stamped both 15mm and 16mm. However, there were no issues that effect the performance of the stand. After assembly, the stand feels very solid, and had no issues lifting my bike.
