Woodcraft frame sliders stand out in a market crowded with look-alike options. Our patent pending design features a slider puck that can be replaced with one bolt. What makes the Woodcraft design unique is the perpendicular attachment bolt for the puck. Because we do not have to hollow out the center of the puck, we can leave the sliding surface of the puck solid. This provides 48% more plastic to slide on, dramatically improving puck life. The side mount also eliminates the hassle of trying to dig out a puck replacement bolt through a distorted hole.

For racing, this model uses a special universal shorty slider puck (part number 50-1399) that gives the perfect amount of puck protruding from the fairing.

Making solid sliders with no offsets is absolutely the best way to protect your bike in a crash - giving the slider maximum strength to resist bending and breaking. Offset sliders can break and sometimes do more damage than they prevent (like breaking frames). We will only sell what we race with ourselves and believe these to be the best frame sliders available for this bike.

Installation Note: This frame slider kit does not require cutting the bodywork on 2015-19 S1000RR. 2009-14 S1000RR requires slight trimming of the RHS.

Frame Slider Puck Notes: The 50-1099 Frame Slider Puck (Black Plastic, Polished Aliminum, Blue Anodized or Red Anodized) would be standard. The 50-1399 pucks recommended for racing and can be used if you prefer a shorter puck.

Did exactly what it's supposed to do

Highly highly recommend the aluminum pucks! Had a low slide in the rain on the race track at around 40 mpg. Bike sled on the pavement. Not a scratch on the side fairing. To give you some perspective the tank cover had a small nick. The clip on was bent downwards and the tail is grind down. Even my Gilles HP rearset was bent. But still there was not a scratch on the side fairing. The engine bolt was only slightly bent and the the slider was grind down about a quarter inch. Only gripe is that they stopped making the brushed aluminum one. I prefer aluminum since if you tip the bike over the scratch won't show as much. But all I needed to do to get rid of the anodized color is to drop the puck in some rust remover. The color was gone in 5 minutes.

Woodcraft always has a solid product. I like the low profile design I happen to pick up the small pucks, Installation is a breeze. On a side note check the hardware I happened to get the wrong thread pitch however I place a call to STG on Monday and I was installing them on my bike Wednesday. STG no questions asked corrected the problem this is just a PSA. If something doesn't feel right when trying to thread the bolts in double check it probly just an isolated case.

    Holds up really well

These did quite an amazing job protecting frame and other parts from a low side at the track going about 70 in a turn. Slid across the asphalt until it hit the dirt. I have the short version so it would not extend that far out in case of a fall and catch on anything. The puck wore and did bend a little, but never snapped off. I will be replacing the bolt and using the existing puck, eventually buying a whole new piece. Great product overall.

I have crashed many times weather on the track or the street. Woodcraft is the only frame sliders that worked for me. Easy to install no cut needed. If this review would allow me to post a pics I would post pictures . and you would be surprised how much it actually saved my bike.
