The Woodcraft Kawasaki Ninja 400 Axle Sliders can be installed on the front or the rear axle of your Ninja 400. If you would like to install them on BOTH axles you will need to order 2 full kits to get that done. We installed these on our 2018 STG Ninja 400 Project Bike and a have a video in this listing covering all the steps it takes to get this project completed. Installing this kit on the front axle will help to protect the fork bottoms as well as the axle in a crash. Installing them on the rear axle will help to protect the swingarm and rear axle in a crash. An added benefit of installing this kit is the safety pin that retains the slider on the castle nut replaces the OEM cotter pin that will fail after a couple wheel changes.
Woodcraft axle sliders are designed for racers with a focus on ease of use and practicality. Woodcraft axle sliders help to protect the valuable fork lowers and swingarm on your bike in the case of a crash. We worked long and hard on our axle slider design to ensure they add as little time to a wheel change as possible. No more dealing with through rods, simply remove the puck bolt and you're ready for a wheel change. Our pucks receive the perpendicular mount passed down from our patented frame sliders to provide a solid sliding surface, maximizing puck life.

Had to modify pin in order to use, expected more.
I always assume Woodcraft to be a premium brand. I installed these front sliders on my 2021 ninja 400 tonight and it was very frustrating. The side of the axle with the cotter pin (with the nut that you torque) would absolutely not work. We installed it correctly, aligned all holes correctly, and it would not go through. I removed the puck and was test fitting the cotter pin on just the axle nut by itself. It went through completely fine. As soon as you put the "inner" portion of the woodcraft puck over the axle nut, the cotter pin would not go through. You could get it halfway, and then it would get hung up/misaligned. So either I got a bad cotter pin, or the holes did not align properly on the inner portion. We had to take a grinder to the back side of the cotter pin to give it an angle, and that allowed us to get the pin through. I don't think that should be necessary on a premium product. I watched the videos on STG, and his gave him no such issue. 3 stars due to my frustration. Maybe they'll reach out and make it right?
