If you are riding your Ninja 400 on the street this no cut frame slider kit can help to protect those expensive OEM fairings in a slow speed tip over or crash. The Woodcraft Kawasaki Ninja 400 Street Frame Slider Kit does not require the cutting of your stock plastics which is something most street riders do not want to do. Woodcraft did a solid job with the design of this kit to get a no cut set up that has the strength required to make a difference in a crash or tip over. We were impressed with the engineering and the finished product after they were installed.

We recommend this frame slider kit for street riders who prefer not to cut the bodywork. As with any offset no cut frame slider kit these would not be as effective as a direct mount (no offset) kit that requires cutting of the OEM fairings. If you prefer a higher level of protection and are ok with cutting the fairings we recommend going with the Woodcraft Kawasaki Ninja 400 Race Frame Slider Kit.

Woodcraft frame sliders stand out in a market crowded with look-alike options. Our patented design features a slider puck that can be replaced with one bolt. What makes the Woodcraft design unique is the perpendicular attachment bolt for the puck. Because we do not have to hollow out the center of the puck, we can leave the sliding surface of the puck solid. This provides 48% more plastic to slide on, dramatically improving puck life. The side mount also eliminates the hassle of trying to dig out a puck replacement bolt through a distorted hole

These sliders require NO cutting of the bodywork.

Comes with 50-1399 short slider pucks.

    My 2021 NINJA 400 fell!

Posted by SN on 30th May 2021

Bike fell onto the right side. The Woodcraft sliders protected the plastics 100%. But the slider puck, mirror, bar end, brake lever and muffler was scuffed up pretty good. A couple drops of oil did come out of the top of the clutch cover/oil fill cap. But i was easily able to ride it home. I replaced both slider pucks with their new 55mm ones, kit comes with 49mm pucks (i recommend the longer ones). The pucks are easily replaceable with the plastics in place. This is the best looking slider kit for this bike. With these bikes i recommend investing in a good set of various styles of metric hex tools.

    Easy to install, good quality

Posted by Geoff on 13th May 2019

Brian's YouTube video on the install helped a lot. Hardest part was carefully removing the fairings, but once you figure out once side the other is easy. Sliders installed no problem. If you don't have a dremel, you can just rub 100 grit sand paper inside the frame hole to remove the slag. Sliders definitely seem strong enough to withstand a tip over.
