If you are riding your Ninja 500 on the street this no cut frame slider kit can help to protect those expensive OEM fairings in a slow speed tip over or crash. The Woodcraft Kawasaki Ninja 500 Street Frame Slider Kit does not require the cutting of your stock plastics which is something most street riders do not want to do. Woodcraft did a solid job with the design of this kit to get a no cut set up that has the strength required to make a difference in a crash or tip over. We were impressed with the engineering and the finished product after they were installed.
We recommend this frame slider kit for street riders who prefer not to cut the bodywork. As with any offset no cut frame slider kit these would not be as effective as a direct mount (no offset) kit that requires cutting of the OEM fairings. What makes the Woodcraft design unique is the perpendicular attachment bolt for the puck. Because we do not have to hollow out the center of the puck, we can leave the sliding surface of the puck solid. This provides 48% more plastic to slide on, dramatically improving puck life. The side mount also eliminates the hassle of trying to dig out a puck replacement bolt through a distorted hole
