The Woodcraft Frame Slider for the 2015 Yamaha YZF-R1 offer an all new puck design to deal with the big Yamaha. The 2015 and up R1 has the ecu installed in the bodywork outside of the frame on the left side and on the right side there is a frame spare which would also be vulnerable in a crash situation. These are the thing that led Woodcraft to design a slider puck that would best suit this motorcycle. The new puck offers a mushroom profile designed to promote sliding while working to prevent sending the bike tumbling. The base is machined aluminum and the puck bolts to the base as with previous model sliders.

Installation Note: This kit does not require cutting the stock bodywork.

Frame Slider Puck Notes: The 50-1599 Domed Black Plastic Pucks are included with this kit.

    Excellent fitment, crash proven

My old 2020 r1 had these on them and i was involved in a accident and these handled the accident very well. saved the fairings mostly and worked perfect, especially with the concave design. highly recommend.

    Woodcraft frame sliders

These are a better option than most others. My other sliders dug into the dirt and flipped the bike. Bike was still OK. Had to replace windscreen, but still finished my track day after a little safety wire stitching. These look like they will do better at just letting the bike slide.

    Woodcraft frame sliders

Smart, smooth design that looks to be less likely to grab in the event of a crash/slide. Very easy to install, look very cool, very reasonable price when you look at the quality of the piece vs. competion.

awesome sliders, fits up great but slider material....

awesome kit and does bolt directly up BUT RIGHT SIDE MOUNTING TO ENGINE. BE CAREFUL WHEN TRYING TO TORQUE TO SPEC. was only able to torque down to 45 ft-lbs and not the recommend 51 ft-lbs. really wish woodcraft would have included torque spec numbers but if your looking for a kit, look no further. on this one tight is tight so dont stress about torque spec.

    Crash protection

What can I say, how do you review a product you hope you never use. Seriously though read the instructions and take your time when installing the hardware. If you don't have any anti seize get some. I found myself working the bolts in and then backing them out a little. Don't just drive them home the first shot. Other than that they look great as it expected..

    Woodcraft quality, perfect fit

Posted by Chris on 30th May 2018

I have used woodcraft products since 2007 and they haven't let me down yet. The fitment is perfect on the R1 with 1/4" clearance from the plastics and the pucks. Perfect design!

For the money, best sliders I've seen. Smart design, 5 min install , works with stock or armour bodies fairings no cutting. Would buy em again, hope I don't have to.

    Woodcraft sliders

Used on my 2016 r1s. Fit was perfect and a child could do the install. No cutting required whatsoever and the taper of the slider is genius. Looks like the best design tok avoid catching curbs or anything that may send your motorcycle sliding as opposed to other designs out there that could act as a hook in a slide. Ive crashed woodcraft sliders and they held up and protected the bike well. Id get them again and again.
