We installed the Woodcraft Yamaha R3 Clip-ons on the STG R3 Project Bike and shot a full install video that is in this listing. The OEM clip-ons on the R3 are designed to keep the street riding comfortable in a more upright position with a easy reach to the bars. This is great on the street but does not translate to the race track very well making proper body position tough to get. Woodcraft worked hard on this "bike specific" set of clip-ons for the R3 to get proper clearance and get the bars in a spot that benefits the track rider, making it much easier to get the correct body position for the track. We feel this is the best race track clip-on option for the Yamaha R3 available today.
The Woodcraft Yamaha R3 Clip-Ons are specially designed just for the all new lightweight Yamaha to fitment issues a standard set of aftermarket clip-ons create. This clip on handlebar kit bolts right up to the YZF-R3 for both street or track use. They feature a 5 degree down angle and drop the bars nearly 3" as compared to the stock position for a sporty yet comfortable riding position.
Woodcraft 3-piece split clipons are specially designed to make installation and removal a snap. Our 3-piece design is race proven and makes it easy to service your clipons below the triple clamp without having to disassemble the entire front end. Special attention has also been taken to save weight wherever possible.
